I know Derek was a dirt bag, but honestly the guy just found out he couldn't have his own kids. When he asked for some space, why couldn't Krissa back off a little, give him some time and then talk to him about adoption or other options?! She just annoyed me.

My sister won this book on and got it signed by Kelly herself. She finally read it and thought I would enjoy it. After reading the back of the book, I wasn't quite sure and figured I would get around to it. Here it is almost six months later and curiosity finally got the better of me. Krissa and Derek are trying to get pregnant but get some news that it just isn't going to happen the traditional way. Nate has suffered really bad food poisoning and some rare side effects that have created some i [...]

Started off with angst then some sexy then more angst then more sexy then super sweet then MASSIVE angst and then sweet again. Derek was seriously an asshole. I suspected in the beginning what ultimately came to be true. I don't know why. I think because I felt like someone who was selfish enough to tear away from the doctor's on his own after finding out he's sterile, not call his wife or answer her calls at all the entire day, not show up after work, then finally show up wasted at 2AM could ea [...]

Ok, this is the kind of book that I couldn't put down but wished I would put down. Here's the thing - Derek had absolutely NO redeeming qualities. He was a first degree a**hole the entire time and Krissa put up with it for sooooooooooo long that I slowly began to hate her. I wanted to stop reading so many times because I just couldn't handle her accepting his BS anymore.Nate is an incredible character who just deserved every happiness and I wanted to want him to find that happiness with Krissa. [...]

I wasn't sure how I felt when I began this book. But I can say that after a few chapters I was completely drawn into the story. The characters were real and by that I mean, they weren't perfect. Each had their flaws and good points, like people do in every day life. Maybe that's why I related to it so well. The feelings within me about each character is a big part of what makes a book work for me. If I can feel mad, angry, dislike, then I know the author has done their job in creating a well rou [...]

A really great story -- lots of strength in the characters and the writer is very good at giving the reader insights into the personalities of the Nate and Derek--their strengths and their weaknesses. It is a story of a marriage and a love that is lost and one that is found. It is a journey of discovery for Krissa--she comes to realize that she is NOT responsible for all the world's ills, and it is a wonderful vignette of So. Calif. suburban life--what is real and what isn't. Just a really great [...]

This novel is sexually explicit and has a threesome. I liked the backstory and the premise--the husband is sterile, and they ask his best friend to be a sperm donor. When they find out all the required regulatory hoops they must jump through, they decide to transfer the sperm in the traditional way--and with the husband present. There's a lot more to the story. It's more than sex. In fact, it's about love. And betrayal and standing up for yourself. It's very well written. I liked it. For those w [...]

I absolutely loved this book except for the Husband (for blaming her) The Audacity of a man to blame a woman for messing around with his 'Best Friends' wife actually now that kind of makes me laugh because he didnt have enough brains to own up to his mistake but hey what can you do? I would read this book over and over again

I was really surprised by the amount of emotion in this book. There weren't many surprises in the plot, but I still loved this book!!! She did a really great job, an excellent job, of pulling you into the characters emotions. I was so torn up over Nate. I want to cuddle him!!

I'm going to start by saying Derek is a total ass. Can't stand him. Nate on the other handg! And Krissa, she starts out kinda powerless; she'd lost it over time with Derek without even realizing it was gone. But with time and friendship and love, she finds it again. Tre' cool!

This book could have been so much better. It had a great story line. I was disappointed with a lit of the writing and the abrupt ending

Interesting, different and had a unpredictable ending in some ways. Not what I was expecting at all. Not everyone' cup of tea, but a pretty good read.
