4.5/5Amazing as usual! The Alice in Wonderland parody chapter is actually different to the anime episode so that was interesting, can't wait to read the next volume! :D

Probably the volume that has made me laugh the most so far, that Alice retelling was everything! I just couldn´t stop laughing, and whenever they broke the fourth wall, lol I wish I had that sense of humor. Also, oh my god my love for everyone has grown up, specially for Mori and Hunny, I just love their bond so much, they always care for each other and the episode where Hunny got a cavity is such a good example of that. I WANT MORE! Thank godness I´m only on volume 4

This one wasn't my favorite. Something about this one seemed a bit off. That something was probably the whole Alice in Wonderland thing which just seemed a bit clumsy and convoluted. Also, I'm not sure how transgender language is handled in Japan, but the use of the word "tranny" around here is generally used as a derogatory name and I'm not sure how I feel about seeing it used to describe Haruhi's Dad. Also there is a big difference between someone who is transgender and someone who crossdresse [...]

La verdad es que prefiero mil veces el capítulo de Alicia del manga que el del anime :P

This volume was both great and disappointing! I loved the first two stories - the Host Club meeting Haruhi's father + Hunny & Valentines - they were both fun and I felt we got to know the characters more. I also enjoyed the last story with the Newspaper club. What was disappointing was the Alice and Wonderland story. Mangas and animes always seem to do a Alice episode/story and it always sucks. It's a complete distraction from the story - a filler. It serves no purpose, often is tenuously li [...]

4.5 stars. Not a fan of the unrelated 'egoist' stories at the end of volumes such as this, but the Host Club content was excellent.

In this volume we get the pay off from the end of the last volume, with everyone going to the 'commoner's supermarket'! Hearing Ranka talk about Haruhi as a child is a great character moment for Tamaki. That seems odd to say, but one of Tamaki's growth opportunities is learning to see the complexities in others, especially Haruhi. She isn't just a 'commoner' or his 'daughter' - she is a multifaceted person with a life outside of Tamaki's knowledge. His yearning to truly know her really drives hi [...]

*****Scorri per recensione in italiano*****This time the books was a little flat compared to the past stories, but as an Alice in Wonderland's fan, I liked a lot the HC version and the way all the characters were adapted to the story. Also, I was so happy to see Barako and Nadeshiko again! For me, the best part of this book was the "what if" extra pages, crazy and super funny!*****Il quarto volume della serie mi è sembrato un pò più piatto dei precedenti: la storia della carie di Honey e quella [...]

Honestly, the only chapter that i didn't like was the one with the journalism club. The rest, was pretty much golden.I think what I liked the most is this version of haruhi in wonderland. The anime version is half-assed and boring, Haruhi is just having a dream and the episode isn't funny at all.In the manga version, the reason why they're in wonderland is far funnier. The characters and their lines fit them more than the ones in the anime. I'll never understand why the anime didn't adapt the st [...]

Read as part of the PopSugar Reading Challenge 2017, to fill 7) A book that is a story within a story.(Totally cheating the PopSugar Challenge again but I think the Alice in Wonderland episode should count as a story within a story. Also the PopSugar Challenge is judged entirely at my discretion so fight me.)Oh god I still love this series. And I adore the Ouran Suspense Theater at the end of the book. The author literally writing/drawing crack fic of her own stories. It's perfect. And hilarious [...]

What happens when Tamaki and the rest of the Host Club meet Haruhi’s dad? Hilarity. Plus you get to see what happens when Hunny is starved of sweets. In addition, there’s also an Alice in Wonderland story swap. In a nutshell, hang on for the roller coaster of laughs. This volume also contains the second chapter of Love Egoist which is as sweet and hilarious as the main story. I don’t condone teacher/student relationships but I definitely relate to the teacher. Also included: a ‘what if’ [...]

Volume 4 of Ouran High School Host Club begins with Haruhi's cross-dressing daddy catching her and Tamaki on the floor in a rather incriminating position - and of course he assumes the worst! Tamaki flails, attempting to placate the strange parental unit, and things are looking dire when the twins unexpectedly barge in. When it looks as though Tamaki is about to confess to having feelings for Haruhi, he ends up saying she is like a daughter to him! What an idiot! Hail hail, the gang's all here a [...]

I still love it! (shocker!!!) I am definetly starting to see a difference between the manga and the anime now. It not a very drastic change as of yet but i love it all the same! Cant wait to continue the series!!!

As much as the group pretends to find Tamaki annoying, everyone actually truly loves the guy.

The Alice episode is so different from the anime, it's awesome still but more fun!

That Kyoya-Tamaki swap at the end was hilarious! Falling in love with the host club all over again!

The Alice in Wonderland storyline is so much better than the anime one. I laughed so hard after reading that.
