Simple adaptation of the TV special. The flaps are used really well within the story.

my daughter loved the pop up parts to see if Charlie Brown got his Valentine. i liked the classic Charlie Brown feel to it though there was no red headed little girl in it.

“Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown,” by Charles M. Schulz is one of the classic Charlie Brown Holiday themed stories. Love is in the air, but for each person it is in the wrong place. This a good story about thinking things through, and being greatful for whatever you do get. I recommend this story for Pre-K to 2nd grade. It would be especially good to read in class during the days before Valentine’s day in class.

This book explains how Valentine's Day is about friendship and love. Charlie wait for his Valentines in the mail. He is upset because every time he checks, there are no valentines. During their class party, they pass out valentines and make them homemade. Charlie does not get any valentines from his classmates. The next day, his friends give him valentines a day late. Charlie is grateful to have valentines rather than not get any.

It is Valentines Day, and Charlie wants a lot of Valentines. Sally wants to make one for Linus. First let me say I can still hear my niece reading and reading this in my head. It was a cute read. Definitely good for children to read around Valentines Day.

Peanuts are a group of kids that withstand the test of time. They were a favorite of mine as a child, and their stories are just as good now that I'm reading them to my children. Charlie Brown and Linus learn lessons in this story that are tough for Valentines Day.

Bittersweet. Unrequited love is always painful one way or another. But Charlie Brown shows us one way to combat the depressing effects of Valentine's Day - optimism, optimism and optimism.

My daughter read this book. Some books that seem juvenile are her readings, not mine.
