I LOVED this bookwell, of course I didI have loved every single book that I have read in this series so far, and luckily there are still plenty more for me to read. This book has everything that all the other books in the series haverong characters, fast-paced and fun, thrilling adventures, awesome supernatural beings, a hot sex scene or two, and true love. Not to mention the legends and myths that make up the background for the world that the author has created. Yes, it's a town in the middle o [...]

Definitely not my favorite of the series. Way too many inconsistencies. One minute, Moira says that her grandmother died a few months before her mother was killed, which was when Moira was 5. Then, pages later, she remembers that she went crazy when she was 14 or so, and how her grandparents had to witness it. The same grandmother who was dead, apparently. Her mom's ghost tells her at the end, "My parents meant well, but they let fear drive their choices," in reference to how they raised Moira w [...]

The story is awesome. It is filled with the wonderfully witty humor with just a touch of smart ass that will truly make you LOL.Dr. Moira Jameson and crew are on a dig in the Sudan, when they are attached by rogue vampires. Drake and some others from Broken Heart come to the rescue. The immediate attraction is sparking between Moira and Drake. As they bounce around waiting for fate to catch up to them. Moira remembers her past and learns about others that she has met. Most importantly Moira lear [...]

Another great read from Michele Bardsley in the Broken Heart Vampries series. Because this is such a long, ongoing series with repeat characters and an overarching story line I do not recommend starting with this book. And in fact, even though I’ve loved and enjoyed the series for many years I felt a little lost initially because it has been a while since I’ve been in this world so I had forgotten characters and plot points. I had wished that Ms. Bardsley did a better job of recapping the se [...]

Moira and her assistant are at a dig when they are attacked by evil vampires when they get too close to opening a sleeping place for ancient vampires. They are saved by the good vampires and some lycans but then have their memories wiped clean. They go on about their lives but unfortunately they are not safe from the evil vamps.Eventually they’re kidnapped and again saved by the good guys and then taken to Broken Heart. Moira is the key to opening the tomb of the sleeping vampires and she has [...]

Dr. Moira Jameson is nuts. Moira is falling for a Werewolf. Who lives in a hidden town full of Vampires. With a big ass pyramid only she can enter (what's up with that, anyway?) Where are your pills when you really need them. Archaeologist/billionaire Moira Jameson is having a bad weekmpires try to kill her and her students at an archaeology dig site, when good vampires (there are good vampires?) and drop dead sexy werewolves come to their rescue. This would call for a study all in itself, but t [...]

I really loved this book. Moira was an incredible female lead and the I've liked Drake in the previous books so I was already on board for him to get his HEA. I only wish there were more chapters from his point of view. The few that were in the book were not enough. I loved the twist (can't reveal, but very cool) and the walking ritual was a cool concept. My only complaint with this book was for a romance the sex scenes were very few, too few for my taste. But the mythology and storyline were in [...]

The newest in the Broken Heart Series. This is about Drake, one of the triplet werewolves that are the security in Broken Heart, OK. Moira is a archaeologist, just like her Mother, and Grandfather. She is tasked with opening a pyramid to awaken the 2 oldest vampires in the world. They were made by Ruadan to be vampire family leaders. (see the index in the back of each book, for family members and their abilities). I have read each of the broken heart books, and they are all amazing. Funny, with [...]

Michele has done it once again. I really enjoyed Moira & Drake's story. I really enjoy Michele's sense of humor. This time we are on a dig site in Egypt looking for the original 2 Vampires Amahte & Shamhat. Not that Moira finds that out until a couple weeks into the dig. Then she finds out about all kinds of paranormal beings. I don't want to say much more & spoil the story. I do recommend starting at the beginning of the series or you will be lost. All the books in the series are fa [...]

I have to say that I was actually kind of disappointed in this one. Moira has an original backstory, but she as a character is quite similar to other of Bardsley's other characters. It gets a bit tiring after a while.

I love this series and am very sad that my library doesn't carry anymore of her books or this series. I can't see payingg $7.99 for something that I'll read in like 2-3 hours either. I don't have a lot of money though I adore the author's offerings that I've read. There is the perfect amount of humor, sexy, imaginativeness, and well snark to every book I've read so far. This book is, sadly since it is the last I think I'll be reading in the series, the best of the lot so far. I thought the book be [...]

As an archaeologist, Moria expected to find lost pyramids and tombs. She just didn't expect to find a lost tomb of two vampire elders that is actually the peak interest for a lot of people right now, including Drake, a very sexy werewolf. When the pyramid containing the tomb appears in Oklahoma, Moria is expected to go in, face booby-traps and then wake up two probably very hungry vampire elders that have been asleep for several hundred years. Not to mention that one evil baddie is trying to reve [...]

This is the 9th book in the Broken Heart, Oklahoma series by Michele Bardsley. This series started with I'm the Vampire, That's Why in 2006 and for those following the series, have been lucky enough to get about a book a year. The basics of the series is that there is a town in Oklahoma called Broken Heart that has become a home base for parakind. The series starts when 11 single parents (most due to divorce or widowhood) were killed by a vampire that had disease call the Taint. The Constorium, [...]

Mon avis en FrançaisMy English reviewThis series is new to me, so, well as you see it, I’m starting with the ninth volume. Yes a mess I know, but I didn’t have any problems with that and it was really nice to follow our heroine here.Moira is a passionate archaeologist and her assistant Dove follows in all her researches. I must say that despite the age difference the two women are very close because of the difficulties of the life they have endured. But while Moira is thoughtful and more ra [...]

Posted: ahellofawoman/2After a run of "serious" fantasy /paranormal romance books, it was so much FUN to read Only Lycans Need Apply. A lighthearted and entertaining read, I raced through it in a day and enjoyed every moment! The main characters, Moira and her assistant Dove, are sarcastic, feisty and full of attitude and amusing conversational exchanges. I gasped, and Dove followed my line of sight, and gasped, too. "Is that real?" asked Dove in a reverent voice. "Because that's the biggest dick [...]

I really do enjoy this series. It's really funny, and the characters are interesting. I like the romance aspect generally happens to women who are in their late twenties or thirties (though I'm not saying they always act that way). And I really like how the supernatural suspense aspect combines with real issues, like raising children. This book in particular made me laugh. I like the doctor and her assistant. I thought it was fast paced enough that it kept me interested, but still had enough time [...]

Only Lycans Need Apply is the ninth book in the Broken Heart Vampires series by Michele Bardsley. Moira Jameson is an archaeologist with a painful past and a history of being considered a little off. Drake is a werewolf that you might recognize from previous installments of the Broken Heart series, but if not you just need to know that he is built and a demigod. Karn is a vampire looking to reveal the existence of paranormal people to the world, in order to take it over. When the discovery of an [...]

3.5 actually.Lets see It's been a long time since I visited this series. Too long. See, I strongly prefer to read books in dead tree format, and for some very strange reason, none of the *3* booksamillion, nor the barnes and noble ever stocked this. They have others in the series. I finally caved and ordered it from - after it had been out for 2 years. So I spent a good bit of time trying to remember the who/what/when/and where of the series. Also don't remember that the others were in first per [...]

I must admit I felt lost for much of this book. I think that was mainly do to the fact that it had been so long since I read the previous book that it took me most of the book to remember who was who and what had gone on in the past. Once I remembered what had happen, I did enjoy the book, but not as much as I had the previous ones in the series. This author fills her books with such fun wit and great one liners, which were all present in this one, but the story just felt a little off somehow. T [...]
