Can someone please tell me what the point is of stories that barely have enough pages to tell you ANYthing about the two leads? This book had promise. The concept was good and I *think* the writer may have talent, but to be honest, she didn't give me enough of a taste to know WHAT she can do. There was no time to get a feel for who the heroine was let alone the hero. I barely know what the girl looks like. I could forgive that if we had at least some type of real history on exactly why we should [...]

I read Near to You and I didn't totally dislike the book, but I didn't like it either. The book left me with the feeling that I should have just gone to bed when I was supposed to. This book has the premise of a young divorcee named Niara (Nia) moving back into town after going through a divorce that left her feeling less than sure of herself. You have the young man, Brady who liked Nia all throughout high school, but was too shy to tell her. Brady was doing one last gardening job before he left [...]

When Niara moves home after her divorce, the last thing she expects to find is romance with a former classmate Brady.I'm not normally a big novella fan but really enjoyed this short read. Making them formerly acquainted helped with the rushed nature of these types of stories. Definitely adding more of this writer in my collection.
