Jisatsu Circle is a horror manga that combines its suicide culture and a theme seen in many Japanese horror material: the "cycle" of a deadly legacy to others. If you are just new to Japanese horror fiction, then Jisatsu Circle (or Suicide Club) is a really, really weird material to read. The gore may be too much. But there are numerous titles which are much weirder and gorier than this. What gives Suicide Club a slight edge over the others is its tone of an unknown evil lurking, perhaps in the s [...]

Three stars because I can see the potential of it if it was stretched a little bit. No problem with short stories but this seems like rushed and that made me quite disappointed. However, the concept was great! It is disturbing and bizarre and you could really feel that as you read along and that's great because that's what its all about. There's a light in all the darkness so you just have to keep an open mind while reading this but in the end this story is just gonna play with your mindI also w [...]

AKA Jisatsu Circle AKA suicide club.It was ok. Predictable, slightly creepy, short. Not the best horror manga I've read.

A escrita do autor é bem crua e direta.

Greatly disturbing but the ending was predictable. The illustrations were nice though. Good job with illustrating memorable faces and facial expressions

Vale a pena, eu te garanto!

A présent, [...]

I don't think anyone who has ever read this book is able to say that they loved it. The suicide club aka 自殺サークル is a book about a group of girls from various schools form to admire "Mitsuko" the club leader who at the end of each clubs cycle convinces the members to commit suicide together. In the begining Saya and Kyoko were the best of friends. They were the most important people in each others lives. But soon Saya gets some family problems and starts selling her body to pay his fa [...]

I came across this manga because I am thinking to watch the movie. The story is incredible dark and disturbing. Suicide in mass high school students. They are all suffering in some kind of way and decide to enter this creepy society. The opening with the 54 girls jumping in front of the train at Shinjuku station was shocking (although I did watch the trailer of the movie, but in the manga it looks worst in my opinion). The detective looks exactly the same as the actor. I am still thinking if I s [...]

This wasn't something I set out to read, I stumbled across is and since it's a quick read I found myself finishing it. I'm finding it tough to rate, so I'm going to stick with the middle ground 3. From a story/entertainment standpoint, it's not overly satisfying. When one of 54 suicidal girls survives a jump in front of an oncoming train, it's up to her best friend to pull her out of her depression before the cycle starts again. It's very dark and rather depressing. From an artistry standpoint, [...]

Very creeped Manga. Suicide has always been something that sends chills down my spine, especially self-mutilation, I once witnessed a girl cutting her wrists once and I have never been able to forget the image. Jisatsu Circle is about a large group of girls that commit a mass suicide by jumping in front of a moving train, there is only one survior named Saya. Saya's world is dark and twisted and her friend Kyoko wants to pull her out of this dark place, as Kyoko searches for answers she discover [...]

This was good but without being brilliant. The story follows Mitsuko who becomes a never ending cult leader whose leadership passes to the one survivor of a mass suicide. I think the sensitivities of readers and resulting moral panic seems to be based on the age and gender of the characters. Middle aged men working for a middling corporation wouldn't have the same impact as teenaged girls in school uniforms.

Manga title: Jisatsu Circle, aka, "Suicide Club". Hard to assign a star rating to this -- I don't think it's possible to enjoy much of anything going on hered that seems to be the pointor at least the core of what makes this terrifying. This is a disturbing piece of psychological horror about a group of Japanese teens who form a group to plan their own deaths en masse. Nothing fun here.

It was shocking, but in a great way it makes you think. Think about suicides, why people commit suicides the state people are in when they get that thought.
