First, I have to say that the art in this book is beautiful! I immediately fell in love with it! The characters are so cute-Bearful Bear has such a personality, and the faun and trees were my favorite! (Although I had a difficult time trying to decide, since they all felt like my friends!) Even when it comes to the story, I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I was having reading it, and reading it aloud! The word play and the rhyme makes it very enjoyable! There was guessing based on small [...]

I received a copy of this from the publisher through Netgalley. This was a very cute children's book. I don't have children yet but I have two nephews, one who would be old enough to listen and try to do all of the groovy moves that Bearful Bear is learning. It would be a great book for all young children, but especially for those who have a difficult time sitting still for story time. Bearful Bear encourages kids to move around and try different things, like hopping, galloping, and rolling. It's [...]

Bearful Bear loves to romp but one day wonders how the other animals move so he goes to find other animals and move like they move.Overall it is a cute story that talks about the different grooves that animals have. While the illustrations are ok it does make the story have a light and airy feel.I received this advanced copy from BQB Publishing from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Parents of toddlers and preschool teachers need this book for their young tikes! It helps with language and motor development and best of all It's FUN and brightly illustrated. The author is also very animated and fabulous with kids. Anna is popular at school and library story times and willingly accepts invites to Atlanta area classrooms and children events.

I love this book! In a time when obesity is a real issue for children in our culture, this book can help parents bring playful movement into the lives of their children when they're still toddlers. The words along with the playful illustrations pull young minds and imaginations into the story and loveable Bearful Bear will bring kids back to this book over and over again.

It was a pure delight to read this playful, little book. Its visual and linguistic appeal grabbed my attention. Kids will love the word play, the pictures, and the creative movement facilitators. This book would be excellent as a reference for identifying parts of speech. Also, it would be a good "I Can Read" resource.I received an e-copy of this title in exchange for my honest review.

Well, considering I wrote this children's book, I LOVE it! The passion behind this story was to combine movement, rhythm, rhyme and vocal play for ultimate educational gain. Marcie Ferron did such a beautiful job with the illustrations. With so much to look at and point out in the whimsy scenes, this story is perfect whether you need to move and shake, or sit still and rest. This story is perfect for the toddler and preschooler.
