Really recommend this book for anyone who loves fantasy and slow burn romance. There was m-preg mentioned but how the MC became pregnant you'll have to read to find out (I loved that scene!) Although the book is complete the story is not. I hope the author will continue with this story. Can't wait for book 2.

4.5 stars. Ends in a semi-cliffhanger - the main couple separate to follow different causes although each promises to return to the other - and while the first six chapters of the next book has been posted, it has not been updated since mid 2012 Damn

The characters got more interesting as the story went on, but all the dialogue with all the pauses just got too annoying

Am I sexist? I must be, given how quickly I was turned off this book by all of the femininity going on with Basil. Baisil. Baysil? Baisyl. Here's the little I typed into Evernote as I read on my phone: I've become spoiled of late. I was sitting through - well, mostly skimming through - exposition like God, exposition ewI dunno. I feel not as guilty for not liking it after seeing friend reviews on GR. Of course, no one I know actually read it, but Emma has it marked don't-bother and apparently non [...]

It has all the charm (and problems) of original slash, meaning that it goes from awesome to kind of boring, has quite a few scenes meant purely for fangirling purposes. It's quite long, but though it's marked as complete it's only book 1 and the sequel is on hiatus *insert furious weeping*I have actually tried reading this once before and I gave up on it because all the discussions on gender were a bit off putting. Even the strong women have a bit of a complex about belonging to the fair sex and [...]

Love this story, very original and constantly engaging. Even with our main character trapped in a woman's body I still felt that this was very much a m/m book. There is a bit of m/f but I thought it was handled beautifully, this was probably the first m/m story where I was not put off by a m/f scene or theme. I also have to give props to the author for their mastery of emotion with every character and the depth they create with every situation and relationship.

This is a great read. What you see is not what you get when enchantments, dragons and elves are among the cast. Different and fast-paced. Kadean is a very large man hired to protect a young lady crossing a large body of water to meet her bridegroom. But "she" (Basil) is an enchanted dragon-lord and a lot of action follows and pirates attacking the ship to get Basil are only the simplest of the problems. It's unpredictable and the author is never boring.

Great for anyone who loves good slash/LGBT romance, fantasy, and adventure. Tackles issues of gender and race, but weaves it all into a fun, quick moving plot and sports a wide cast of characters, each with their own quirks, strengths, and weaknesses. All in all, a very enjoyable read.

This unique book is excellent. It moves quickly and smoothly, world-building a place where various races other than human exist, not always in harmony. A person's identity is based on his/her gender, race, and such. What if one of these items is in flux?An enchantment has changed Baisyl from the firstborn son of his nobleman father to the firstborn daughter. Supposedly nothing can change him back and it is presented as for his own safety. The story opens as he is about to be shipped off to be ma [...]

DNFThe idea was there, the plot, the intrigue, the romance, the characters, they were all there. But man, the dialogue killed me. While fanciful and informative, it was long and drawn out. And the use of improper ellipses simply killed me. Aah, "blah blah blah con't" does not a story make. And when each character talks like this all the time It's a miracle I didn't kill myself. Such a shame, because the rest of the writing is just so good. It's so nice, and flowy and the descriptions, while over [...]

i loved the long story, the detail into the world and what the characters go though. considering the length i was expecting it to come to a conclusion! but then found a book 2 which only has 5 chapters i am currently wandering if it is worth reading, as i will probably just get frustrated. it is a serious shame as i feel like i came so far with the characters and want to know where they ended up only to find the Author got writers block 3 years ago! the hazards or reading original online fictio [...]

A great read with a slow-burning romance, but beware, there's a massive cliffhanger at the end and the writer has been AWOL for about three years. Don't hold on to any hope for book two :(

Loved this book! It reminded me a lot of the Captive Prince series in terms of the characters and character development and it has a great plot

A fókusz néha elcsúszott a történetről. De aranyos mese volt élethű szereplőkkel. Csak nem tűnik befejezettnek vagy inkább nem sok értelme van a végének.
