      This must be the year of the clip/magazine mix-up for me. Seems like every book I pick up has this issue. Unfortunately this one is no exception. Along with some grammar issues that weren't wrong, just personal preference, I dropped my rating down to 4.5 stars.This book was a lot of fun.       I received a free copy of this book from the author in return for reviewing it.It took me a little while to warm up to this book (I had the feeling that I had jumped into the middle of a series due to the abundance of characters near the beginning of the story and the brevity and familiarity with which Vern narrated his previous experiences, so perhaps I did), but once I settled into the world of Vern, Grace, and the Gap, I was laughing and giggling right up until the end.       This was a very fun read. I loved Vern's perspective and voice, and although the story is serious, it at the same time doesn't take itself too seriously. Fabian weaves magic and Catholicism together seamlessly enough that you really think it could work that way. (Plus, there's a guardian angel *and* Loki. How can you go wrong?)Now I need to go back and read Magic, Mensa and Mayhem.
