SweetHaving not read the book this short story was a prequel to, all I can say was that this was a sweet story.

Synopsis: "A Last Selkie Short Story.A tragic life cut short. What can be Chrysler than facing death alone?Twenty years before Adrift, a young man named Ethan Tanner found out he had a inoperable malignant brain tumor and had less than a year to live.Impossibly, help comes in a mythical form."My Review: Not to sure about this one. It started off good, started making you really feel for Ethan and the turmoil in his life. Then things got short and you were told how he felt instead of allowing you t [...]

Short Sweet PrequelThis series must be read in order. This is the first book. This book is more of a teaser that a short story but it is worth reading :) I would have been very confused if I had read Adrift (The Last Selkie) before I read this. Backstory is very important to any good series and this story provides it :) I really enjoyed it and had to read the next one right away :) Selkies are a very rare branch of faerie lore and it is nice to see them get their own series even if some people mi [...]

Meine Meinung:Was sollte das bitte?

2.5 starsDespite it's brevity I found Avow to be well-written and intriguing. However, I did find it to be a bit sappy, but considering the length it was acceptable. I look forward to seeing what the author does with a full-length novel about selkies as nothing about the world or myth was truly explored in this short.

Just a few pages long. Not really worth a download, but it is free. This, book, tells the story of how two people find each other. I read Adrift first, which I would recommend, because then this bookwill make more sense.

I think this was very good for a Prequel. It had just enough information for you to want to read the next section. At only the length of a chapter, it did set up the story and I am intrigued to read more.

This was pretty good but really short. A freebie, but almost got as much as I paid for. There wasn't really much to this, but it got me interested in reading the series. This is more like the Prologue for the first book, seems like. A fun read that takes about 2 minutes to read. Enjoy

An enticing opener to the full-length novel. I look forward to ADRIFT!

Super fast (only a few words) but sets the series up beautifully!

Short Prequel to Adrift (Last Selkie, #1),which I really want to read even though its YA. Avow was beautifully written and really textured with emotion.

I can hardly call this a story. It's more like a scene. A good scene but just a scene. I guess I have to get Avow

Far shorter than I was expecting it didn't form much of a story.
