      This is a very well written book. The author did an excellent job in developing the characters. The rate at which the plot moves along is outstanding. The heroine finds herself in the middle of a revolution in Iran, when she goes there to visit her father, who is an archeologist. I don't want to give away any of the plot but imagine finding youself in a country like Iran during the period of time the book was written and trying to escape, especially with an injured father and no papers.       This Young Adult novel caught my eye with the issues at work in the middle east. The novel is based on the experiences of the author in the late 70s just before the Shad was deposed when literacy was improved and women had many rights.A young woman goes to Iran to visit her dad over summer vacation while he is working as an archeology consultant.
