A classic song that everyone has grown up with. This book offers the opportunity for activity within the pages and brings the reader a bit closer to the song and the book. The book tells the story of the ants, and then the students have the chance to enjoy the song at the end of the book. The pages of this book allow the reader to see the story in a new light. The story of the ants is told, individual ants are identified and then the song is learned at the end of the book. The song is brought to [...]

I have to admit I am partial to this title because my little brother used to sing it ALL the time. After "The Ants go Marching 3 x 3" I'm usually done with it and am ready to skip ahead to 10 x 10. I stuck with it though and read it all cover to cover and only slightly changed the words to the lyrics I was more familiar with. The little guy I was watching asked that I read it again to which I quickly responded, "no, just once each day".

This is a decent book for grades k-2 teaching students how to count. Counting is not the most exciting subject to teach, however, many students have heard the song "When The Ants Go Marching In". This would create a great opportunity for the students to make a connection and help them to learn counting and sequencing!

This is a cute book that get kids counting with you. Maybe more preschool theme but this can work when you are learning 1-10 addition facts. You can also sing the song when you are done. Count how many ways the ants go marching.

The ants go marching is a great book for really young readers. It's big pages and colorful and interactive pages will catch their attention. It will also make them think, for example which color is in the background and which color is the page.

It's a cute little book, not my favorite to read to my son. I do think it helps with his speech delay with the repetitive of words.

I feel dizzy to see many ants. But this book would help for children who start to learn counting and multiplying numbers.
