I loved learning about improv, despite feeling terror at the idea of doing it myself. I got caught up in the characters' performances, rooting for how brave they were to get on stage and improvise. I could relate to the main character, Chloe, and her struggle, but also understand the pushback from those around her. Students interested in pursuing the arts would benefit from following Chloe's journey.

Not crazy about this. The writing was fine, the story line was OK, the characters did seem believable (good dialogue!), and the main character did learn a lot about herself and resolve the situation. However, the story wasn't very gripping, and I just couldn't find myself caring a lot about the 'problem'. Also, the solution to the 'problem' just seemed so obvious; weird that she hadn't thought of it before. Meh. Maybe I was just too tired when I read it.

Win CopyIt’s a new season for the improve team at Harrington High. Chloe is excited at the possibility of going to Nationals but not everyone is excited. As she tries to make things work despite lack of enthusiasm and prove to her parents that she can have a career doing improv. Will she be able to prove to herself and everyone that she made the right choice?

I learned a lot about improv through the characters in this book. I felt for the main character's frustration with her team-mates but could also feel for what it was like for them, having to endure how she dealt with it.
