A great point of view on the subject. Over the top, in a good way, but that's to be expected from the man that has been there and done that. Leadership from the prospective of a real warrior. He found that what works on a real battlefield works in business.

I don't understand how some people can say that this doesn't translate to business . Use your brain to understand that he is not talking about killing people he is talking about how real leaders have character and focus on things like unit cohesion ( teamwork) planning and preparation. True leadership principles are always in style.

While I enjoyed Richard Marcinko's book "Rogue Warrior," this book offered very little.I took away one piece of business advice applicable to my own business: operate business in as lean a manner as possible in order to stay connected to the client and your workforce. Essentially, create a quick reactionary force within your business.

Such a great leadership book, that I'd put it right up there with Think and Grow Rich. Okay, perhaps that's a stretch. But I still put him in the same sort of genre, sort of.

This is one of the best books I have yet read in my life. Marcinko's foul mouthed approach does not detract, but instead emphasizes his points. A must read for those who lead or wish to be led.

His abilities are better geared toward fictionalization of himself with a ghost writer helping.

More of the same. Interesting but not overwhelming. Novel in concept but the battle stories humble the business examples. He's extremely vain but don't say it to his face.
