Mary Ryan follows Katie to Clover Springs, with plans to marry Katie's brother-in-law Davy Sullivan. Mary is thrilled to leave the orphanage in Boston, but upset about leaving 6 year-old Ben, who is crippled by polio. Davy Sullivan hopes for a marriage like his brother Daniel and Katie, but only expects companionship and children from the new wife. He was once engaged, but her death has scarred him emotionally. He has a problem with trust. Mary and Davy are attracted to each other, but seeing ho [...]

I am really enjoying this series. Not the typical mail order brides books. I usually don't spend $3 on a book but the author does a really nice job of bringing all the characters together in each book. She is keeping the family together. Each couple has a different story and reading Katie's delivery of her baby had me in tears because of what one woman did for her. What a surprise that was. Starting the next book tonight.

I enjoyed this sweet story of Mary and Davy. Mary and her sister came over to America from Ireland for a better life. Unfortunately orphaned on the way over, their lives are anything but better at the orphanage. The nuns are strict and mean and take advantage of the child labor. After losing that most important to her, Mary decides to follow her friend, Katie, out west and become a mail order bride. If Katie can vouch for the groom, that's good enough for Mary.Davy is in need of a wife to help h [...]

Mary (Clover Springs Mail Order Brides Book 2) by Rachel WessonI received an advance copy of this book to read and review! Another sweet story. I loved how when he came to the church like that Mary was understanding and forgiving! So many twists and turns in this book! I know that they always have a happy ending, but the emotional roller coaster both of them are constantly going through really pulls you in!I don’t want to give any spoilers, but Katie! Oh, that was emotional! I don’t care if t [...]

A sweet love story that shows you that even with heartbreak and loss you can heal and rebuild your life. Even though Davy and Mary are hurting and not necessarily looking for love, love finds them. It is really easy to connect with the characters. The heartaches they go through makes you want to cry. I like how the characters are entwined through the books. You feel that you get to see what happens with the couples and characters in the future. The book captivated me from the beginning and kept m [...]

A Sweet Book!I enjoyed this sweet book and I loved the two main characters, Mary and Davy. And little Ben, loved him, wanted to reach into the book and hug him. The only thing I found fault with, I thought the ending just a little too abrupt, although it didn't take away my pleasure of reading this book, just wished the author took it a little further. Looking forward to the next. JudyE

The second book of the Clover Springs series was another great read. Mary was a very sweet, kindhearted heroine who was very easy to love. Davy, the hero, finally let the past go-in order to love his future with Mary. (There were a few times I wanted his Ma to take him to the woodshed and have a Come to Jesus meeting with him.) Davy's surprise for Mary-at the end of the book-was priceless.(I was given a copy of this book by the author for a review.)

I loved this 2nd book in the Clover Springs series. Irish born Mary leaves the orphanage and travels out West to become a mail order bride, following in Katie's footsteps. There are secrets that might not make for a happily ever after ending. I totally enjoyed this book and really like Ms Wesson's style of writing. :)

Great readThis was a wonderful read, very emotional but in the best of ways. Mary has come to marry Davy, but can they have a real marriage, and fall in love, or will the past prevent them from happiness?

Another winnerFolks in Clover Springs have trials and tribulations as anywhere else. Good things happen even to ornery people. Such a heartwarming story that ended way too soon. So Sorcha's story will be next. When is the question I have.

3.5: after enjoying the first in this series of clean romance novels, I decided to read the second book This was a freebie on my kindle. Enjoyable and decent enough I read 2 others in the series. All can stand alone, but the characters mingle between each book. Author does a good job of briefly building the characters from other books and intertwining them so you don't need to read them in order or even all of them, yet you have an understanding of how the relationships intermingle.
