I liked Stealing Honolulu by Terry Ambrose a lot. Marty Fitch is a real character in more ways than one. He is a parkour, a rooftop jumper? Who knew people do such things? And a videographer/ reporter. He and his friend Jake are out running and jumping rooftops in Honolulu when Jake falls to his death. Was it an accident or did it have something to do with the case he was investigating? Marty's guilt propels him to pursue his friend's case which brings him nothing but trouble. He brings his cous [...]

Marty's parkour friend dies in a roof jumping accident. Or was it. He is compelled to investigate. Don't make the mistake of starting this intense novel and expect to set it aside in the evening to go to sleep. It won't let you!

Marty's back with his crazy roof jumping antics and crime fighting abilities. As Pono's cousin, Lei's old partner, Marty gets away with some stuff. Although slightly reckless in his work it is for the greater good and his heart is in the right place. Working to solve a high tech crime, ATM skimming of sorts, as a favor to his friend gets Marty in really deep. Marty seems immature and unprofessional but he solves crimes. Kindle World stories are meant to give new life to secondary characters or c [...]

This is an excellent follow up to Tough Choices but Mr. Ambrose also gives just enough backstory to make this a good standalone story. Just as in his first book where we introduced to the world of parkour- the main character's hobby, this book introduces us to the new and timely world of ATM theft. I love a story that brings me some place new and this story does not disappoint as it has it all- death, theft, difficult relationships, the love of family, budding romance and Marty is in the middle [...]

STEALING.HONOLULA a Lei Crime novelette by Terry Ambrose.Pono cousin Marty, a little reckless, takes a case of ATM robberies and gets in over his head. Then his friend Jake dies, feels responsible and he becomes a workaholic. The body count is rising and they want one to be Marty. A fun thriller, and the character of Marty is a delight. Good reading for all. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
