Wow. The one word I would use to describe this story? Delightful! Don't get me wrong, there are some dark sides to this story. Given that it's kind of a murder mystery, that's to be expected (details of how victims died still plague my mind). The broader story line though is incredible. The author's ability to detail the change in the main character through his interactions with people, ghosts and a kitten is rather amazing. Overall, despite the darkness of the murders, this is a feel good story [...]

Bryce Campbell can hear ghostly voices in his head. A respected university professor, he must keep his talent secret, or risk social rejection. Bryce's best friend, a policeman young enough to be his son, is aware of Bryce's “gift” and enlists his help in tracking down a particularly vicious serial killer who is targeting young coeds. When a sad young spirit spots him in a park, Bryce takes pity on her, and a new, incredible, life-changing adventure begins. This story has an interesting arc. [...]

kindle unlimited but got it on a freebie day, have read almost everything in this writer's amazon, this one was different even as much as I read. Read book 1 a while back so not sure why not showing review, noticed that when came in to do book 2. Bryce's favorite student has fallen prey to a vicious killer. He's a mild-mannered college professor, but Bryce feels compelled to use his psychic insight and ability to talk to the dead to bring this murderer to justice. Enter Elizabeth. This ghost is [...]

I got this for something different to read, I happened to read book 2 first and fell in love with characters and story line. The author does an outstanding job describing everything making it possible to visualize. This was my 24oth book this year and I have to say this was a very pleasant change to what I normally read. A Great Job! Great Reading Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope there is more to come with these characters!!!!!!

A serial killer, a college professor, and three (or maybe it's two ghosts) adds up to an interesting introduction to what I hope will be a continuing series. The three stars is because try as I might, I couldn't get past the killers weapon and modus operandi. I finished the book and hopefully the next won't be so gruesome.

A fun ghostly readFive stars for an engaging, interesting romp into crime solving. The bad guy is straight up psycho and disturbing. Bryce and his ghosts are the best part, of course. I loved the thought that went into the ghosts' abilities and Lizzie was a fantastic twist. Recommended to any fans of the TV show Medium or Criminal Minds.

Great story!!! What could be better than ghosts, murder and friends. The story is well crafted and the characters are like people you have known all your life. Well except for the murderer, glad not to know anyone like them. This is a very interesting story, the author did a great job. Highly recommend this book to any mystery lover.

This was a good read. My only reason for a lower rating would be that a woman author would choose and write about such a grotesque sexual crime committed by a serial rapist and murderer. All the characters made this book quite an enjoyable read. Nice to read about people (even ghost people) caring about people and pulling together to help each other.

Interesting Some language, but the idea is really quite an interesting one and new to me. I love murder mysteries, especially Agatha Christie, and although this is not in the slightest related, it was an intriguing murder mystery with helpful ghosts and a Brit.

This book starts out slowly but builds and builds until you are on the edge of your seat. I had a lot of trouble putting it down. Read into the wee small hours. This is a book you will want to read in one sitting if possible.

Good storylineGood storyline, characters and editing. This book was really good. I'd read more by this author. The only thing that bugged me was over detailing descriptions of things that don't matter.
