      This webcomic series by Gina Biggs turns the romance genre on its head. The three main characters are young independent women who want to grow into adults, not simply marry. What is also nice is the same-sex relationship shown by one of the girls, Fuuko, where the relationship is healthy and has equal time with the other two opposite-sex relationships. So I'm in the process of rereading and revisiting the original material.In the early RS, you can see the deep influences of shoujo manga - the art style, the contrived plot, the shojo motifs of roses and sparkles and glittering eyes.       This book got away from Miharu's love life a little and the author started to explore other forms of love other than the typical heterosexual relationship. It was nice to see but a little disappointing since there wasn't any real exploration or consequence for Fuuko and Chiaki. To be honest, I'm not sure that there needed to be, having Fuuko come to the realization that she might not be cut out for the same type of relationships as her friends would have been hard enough on the character and I w [...]
