      Was really excited about reading this . As I have already read the authors other book "kidnapped " which followed his exploits after being taken captive by Somali pirates . The true story in this book does seem rather unlikely . The protagonist starts off doing "doorstep journalism " then is persuaded by a friend to go to Iraq and cover the start of the war . I think the main strengths of this book are , the authors ability to draw humour to even the grimmest situations and also his ability to b [...]

      Excellent book. Well written and enjoyable. Colin Freeman recounts his time in Iraq in a matter of fact way which appealed to me as a reader. I never realised how difficult finding a reliable fixer was. And how deadly things could become if you didn't.
