Well, this author seems to have quite a following, considering just how many books there are in this mystery series. However, I am not one of the author's fans. The main character, the heroine was shallow, as were the circle of friends and family surrounding her. The relationship she has and the way she practices her career seemed like a poor man's version of the mystery series by Janet Evanovich of a bounty hunter with a mysterious male counterpart. Total ripoff and not done with as much wit or [...]

Characters were not fully developed enough for me with the main female protagonist needing her family and friends along to protect here will solving a case. If you love strong females this is not the book for you. If you enjoy reading about a main character forgetting everything the minute she see's a hot guy then this you will love.

I have read a couple of other books in the Pauline series. I enjoyed them for what they are. It's not great literature but they are an easy, light, and cute read. I enjoyed this book for what it is, even though it was not as enjoyable as the other books I have read. The plot seemed to not go anywhere really. So many chapters ended on some non-important point. The "romance" bogged the book down and the who done it sort of came out of no where. It is getting 3 stars because it was an easy read and [...]

4.5 I really enjoyed this one. I put it off for a while thinking I wouldn't enjoy it as much as others. Boy was I WRONG! This one is one of my faves. Can't get enough of Pauline and Jagger. In this one Jagger has a run for his money though in FBI agent Tim Harwinton. Pauline had more kisses in this one then in the last 3 books put together. LOL Well what can you expect on a singles cruise. hehe.

I probably would have enjoyed this more if I had started with book 1. I liked the characters except for Pauline who seemed a little too desperate for my taste. She's not dumb by any means but is very timid despite her new career as an investigator. If I see another one at a library sale I would pick it up.

If you like your gay characters stereo-typed, your investigators clueless and your plot lines unlikely then this book is for you. I picked the murder within 2 pages of the character being introduced. This really is a slightly worse version of the Stephanie Plum novels.

Honestly, I read it because the author had my name. But it turned out to be good. Not excellent, but good enough to read on a cruise, which is the setting of this book.

It was funny and has funny characters but not the most interesting plot. I just like the main character because she's a nurse and I get that.

Another good Pauline Sokol adventure. It's fun seeing her develop as an investigator. Loved the cruise ship setting and how her whole family and friends had to tag along.

I loved this book! I accidently read it out of order but loved the chemistry between Jagger and Pauline. The scene where they are stuck out on the deck is the best!
