Colin is currently face first into this book so I feel I must read it as soon as he is done. Thank goodness he finally enjoys reading fiction on his own for pleasure. Too much nonfiction makes for a dull kid.

Young boys are kidnapped in Ancient Rome for either slavery or to fight in the games. Decimus is trying to prove to his captures that he has what it takes to fight in the games. Illustrations will help young readers go along with the book.

This, the first part of the “Gladiator Boy” series, reads like an old comic book serial. Anyone interested in fighting, weaponry, or these characters will want to read this and the next installment in the series.

I personally have not read this but my 8/9 yr old son loves it. He read the book in a few hours and couldn't wait to get his hands on the next in the series. He's done this with the first 2 books actually.

This book series could be very helpful to kids who really can't read the RICK RIORDIAN books but wants a cool one. This could do the trick.

this book was in Mr. Gibson's classroom. I read the series this week when I found the other books at the book fair.

read this book to my son today, we thankfully have the whole series from the library, because this book leaves off on a huge cliff hanger. I haven't read too many children books but this did not feel like a complete story. it feels like this is going to be one book broken into 4 to make it easier for little kids to read.but we enjoyed it and will be reading the second book tomorrow
