Cute premise, terrible execution. All the fawning over Obama is just plain embarrassing

OK maybe this series needs to stop. Every story is now exactly the same. Ash thinks things are normal. Necronomicom appears. Everything is not normal. Ash saves the day. Yawn, I am over it.

    3. Ron Turner on said:

I was really disappointed with it. Why even make it about Obama if he doesn't even get to meet Ash, let alone kick ass? All he did was pop up and say "Hi. I'm Barack Obama." So lame.

    4. Richard on said:

Just as ridiculous as you might expect, but why doesn't Ash get to run into the President even once? Felt like sort of a wasted opportunity.

In this book, there's a comic book version of the Necronomicon which Ash encounters when delivering sandwiches to a comic book convention at which President Obama is also stopping by. Mayhem, as it is prone to, ensues. Honestly, I neither loved nor hated this one. It was interesting enough that it kept me guesses and wasn't retreating previously covered ground. But in the end, it didn't really pull me in that much. The ending was sort of anticlimatic.

Pretty frivolous but perfectly fine way to waste a half hour.

Not as funny as some of the other Ash and Army of Darkness craziness. Maybe they need Bruce to stop by and inspire them a bit.
