I believe I came across this picture book at a used bookshop. It immediately became a winter~time favorite read aloud. I love to recite it first, as a poem. Then I read it as we all enjoy the artwork and compare it to the pictures we visualized as I first recited the poem.

This simple book was perfect for my ELL kindergarteners. They loved talking about the pictures. The text did not overwhelm the book. A really nice simple winter read for the young crowd.

I got this book from the scholastic book order in first grade and I read it so often that I would say the next line before turning the page. I was really proud of myself!
